DEATH IN CAMPUSES
There have been numerous reports of students killing each other out of love. The female gender is the most affected, while the percentage of men is too low.
Some of the reasons why students kill their love partners are;
1. POSSESSING UNREALISTICALLY HIGH STANDARDS OF ACHIEVEMENT.
If the girl or boy is overbearing in their expectations, in contrast to what their partner can provide for them. It's possible that the man is financially dependent on his parents and cannot afford to meet all of the girl's financial needs. The boy eventually gives up and decides he will not let anyone else have the girl, so he kills her. Some girls also meet rich men outside of campus who give them money, and when the boyfriend finds out that his girlfriend hasn't been loyal and truthful, he may end up killing her and himself.
2. LOYALTY/CHEATING
Honesty and loyalty go a long way toward establishing trust in a relationship. The majority of students have more than one boyfriend or girlfriend, which often leads to violent conflict when their "primary boyfriends" or "main girlfriends" find out.
3.PEER INFLUENCE/PRESSURE
Because you're buddies, you mimic what your friend does. Some students date because their peers date, which may not work out well because there may be misunderstandings when there is miscommunication. You are not required to be the same; wait till you feel prepared. This will spare you from despair because your inability to concentrate in school will result in failing examinations, failing to make the graduation list, and ultimately your suicide due to the disappointment you've caused your family.
4. MENTORSHIP ON HOW TO SOLVE ISSUES
There is a shortage of resources at universities and colleges that teach young adults how to handle relationship issues when they develop. Because of this, many people who have had a partner cheat on them may get stressed out because of lack of knowledge to handle themselves in such situations and consider murder as the only option.
5. SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCE
Most females want their partners to demonstrate the type of affection they see in the media, such as matching clothing and photo shoots, which is difficult for men on campus. The man commits suicide because he feels he does not belong in the realm of love, as he is unable to meet the escalating requirements.
